Makeup and Hair
Come to your session with a clean, moisturized face. I have an extensive makeup kit on hand including false eyelashes so there is no need for you to bring anything of your own.
It is ideal for you to have your brows shaped a few days ahead of time so your skin isn’t red in the photos. Any other waxing you choose to have should be done around this time as well.
If you plan to have me style your hair, it’s best if you come with clean dry hair. We have a fully functioning salon on site so any hair needs can be met there.
I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 2000. It is such a joy to be part of your session from start to finish! If you choose to have your shoot the same day as a friend, I will most likely bring on another licensed professional to help me do hair and makeup.
You may also choose to have your hair and makeup done by your favorite artists if you’d like. Just let me know ahead of time so I can plan accordingly.
It is my desire that your session be a beautiful reflection of you. Whether you want a casual, bohemian, vintage, glamorous, fine art, sporty or creative theme, I’m happy to work with you to achieve the best experience possible. Bring more items than you think you’ll need. Together we will design the best outfits for the day. I do keep a few articles of clothing on hand such as bustiers, corsets, skirts, dresses, and slips. I also have a couple bridal veils, necklaces and high heels. You are more than welcome to play with my stash at the studio.
Day of your shoot
On the day of your shoot, use a good body scrub during your morning shower, and moisturize your skin really well so you have beautiful glowing skin. It’s best to wear loose fitting clothes before your session so you don’t end up with clothing imprints on your body from elastic bands, socks, tight jeans, etc. There is no need to use a tanning spray. I have some body makeup we can put on you to even out tan lines if necessary.
